Facebook Builds It’s Own Gaming Platform To Compete With Steam

Looks like Steam isn’t alone at all in PC gaming, Facebook is set to release it’s own gaming platform powered by Unity.

According to Facebook’s developer website, “This will allow Unity developers to quickly deliver their games to the more than 650 million players who enjoy playing Facebook-connected games every month.”

This means we will be seeing a huge collection of Unity powered games on your PC, from Android to iOS games with Facebook account support to compete with AAA titles we see on Steam.

This will only work with Unity 5.4 or above. Non Facebook integrated Unity games may not be available on it’s gaming platform. A closed-alpha build is available to certain developers, no release date yet for mass consumer.
