Google App Icons Gets A New Look, Following Google’s New Store Design

Last September, Google ditched its familiar old logo, replacing it with a more modern interpretation featuring a sans serif logotype followed by Google’s new Play Store design in October. This time Google revamps it’s whole Google app icons for a new look.

As posted by Google in it’s official Android blog, each icon get a slightly new look. If you look closely, Play Store removes it’s shopping bag background from it’s icon, instead all Google app icons gets the triangle shape of that has been extracted from the Play Store.

Apart from those changes, the company says that “you’ll start to see the new Google Play icons across devices and online in the coming weeks”.
