Sony Went All In With PlayStation 30th Anniversary Model

Recently Sony has created something super retro for it’s PlayStation 30th anniversary, which is a custom retro themed PlayStation 5 or the Pro model. You can see a glimpse here from a short video post by The Verge. I wish I can embed it, but due to Meta. Or watch Sony’s video below:

It looks really cool due to all aspect. The console itself is completely colored in it’s classic gray from the PS1 era with the shrouds in the middle and the front matching the original dark gray. Even the controller themed gray color scheme that the original console used.

In the middle, there is a PlayStation 30th Anniversary text, and the top features a classic PlayStation logo and the PlayStation logo on the bottom.

There also a PlayStation Portal, which had it’s controller themed and the grip of the controller with 30th anniversary logo on the grip just like the controller.

The Pro version of the console also comes with engraved with markings of unit number on the one the shroud in the middle. That’s because Sony only selling 12,300 units. The bottom also features embossed logo and text that says PlayStation 30th anniversary.

You can check out the full video above to get more context.

Sorry, no gray braided USB C cables, but rather a custom shaped USB C connector bits.
