Gearbox Unveils Borderlands 4 With It’s First Look

Gearbox Software has revealed its first gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2024 since its initial announcement made back in August during Gamescom 2024.

In the first gameplay footage, Gearbox showcased some gameplay elements featuring intense first-person shooting as well as returning characters, including Claptrap.

The trailer introduced a new antagonist, The Timekeeper, a dictator threatening chaos across the planet Kairos. This setting is described as one of the most dangerous in the series, with players expected to navigate through various challenges and enemies.

This game is the first of its kind to include extensive skill trees for any Borderlands title yet, along with enhanced traversal mechanics and a dynamic world featuring events and side missions. Players can also expect to play solo or in co-op mode.

The game is set to launch in 2025, available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
